Welcome to another episode of "What were the builders thinking?" Today we’re inspecting a massive estate, but the crawl space layout tells a completely different story.
​Deep in the center of this incredibly tight, low-clearance crawl space sits a tiny, undersized water heater. Not only is it vastly too small for a house of this size, but look at the accessibility! If this tank ever leaks or needs a standard replacement, a plumber is going to have to practically teleport it out of here. There is zero clearance and zero functional access.
​This is exactly why you don't skip the home inspection process, even on brand new or high-end luxury real estate. Builders make mistakes, and a certified home inspector is your last line of defense before you sign on the dotted line.
