An electrical home inspection assesses the safety and functionality of a property's electrical systems and is done by a certified home inspector. This includes evaluating outlets, lighting fixtures, wiring, circuit breakers, and the electrical panel.

In an electrical inspection, the home inspector will:

Inspect wiring, and ensure that all wiring is up to standard.

Ensure that all rooms with water (such as the laundry room, kitchen, and bathrooms) have GFCI protection.

Check and ensure that the home has proper electrical circuits equipped for the electrical demand of the structure.

Examine all cable anchoring, and make sure that cables are properly anchored throughout the home.

Inspect electrical boxes, and ensure that all electrical boxes are properly installed and maintained, and large enough to accommodate the home's needs.
