New construction doesn't mean "perfect". Flashing edition.
Even on brand-new homes, the smallest details can lead to the biggest headaches. During today’s inspection, I found several critical areas where Z-flashing and joint flashing were missing on composite siding. Why Does This Matter? Siding is designed to shed water, but flashing is what actually directs that water away from your home's structural framing. Without it: Wall Penetrations: Water can seep behind light fixtures, leading to electrical shorts or hidden rot. Horizon

Ever wonder why one bedroom feels like a sauna while the living room is an ice box? 🧊🔥
I’m at a brand-new construction today, and the thermal imaging doesn't lie. We’re seeing a 20-30 degree differential between supply vents. In a new build, this usually points to unbalanced ductwork, restricted airflow, or even disconnected runs behind the drywall. Don't settle for "hot and cold spots" as just a quirk of the house. Get it inspected before you close! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThTtLoek/ https://youtube.com/shorts/DkDXDbza2fc?si=7gLhxeT2Hr4B6tsI #HomeInspectio
